Our favorite former White House press secretary and strong female leader Sarah Huckabee Sanders has been very busy since she left her post at the White House.
She and her family moved back to Little Rock, Arkansas this summer and Sarah has been traveling around for speaking engagements and consulting. Just recently, Sarah joined Fox News as an official contributor where we can see her on a regular basis.
Of course, all of this has infuriated Democrats across the country that were happy to see her finished as White House press secretary, but that is nothing compared to how angry they were at her next announcement.
Sarah Huckabee has hinted that she may just run for Governor of Arkansas in 2024 after the current Governor is ineligible to run due to term limits.
“There are two types of people who run for office. People that are called and people that just want to be a senator or governor. I feel like I’ve been called.”
“That job will open in 2023, when Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s term is up, and Ms. Sanders is giving every indication that she plans to run.
“It’s the role I’ve been pushed into,” she said. “I wouldn’t want to do that if I wasn’t the right person to fit what the state needed at that time.”
While Ms. Sanders is not ready to officially announce anything yet, she is very clearly thinking about it. “Would you vote for me if you lived in Arkansas?” Ms. Sanders puckishly asked a reporter. She did not wait for an answer. “I’ll put you down as a yes.””
Would you stand behind Sarah Huckabee Sanders if she ran for Governor of Arkansas? Do you think she would win by a landslide?
