Newly minted Democrat Representative Ilhan Omar has been in hot water recently for making decidedly anti-Islamic remarks.
Now she is coming under fire again for remarks made about President Trump’s advisor Stephen Miller.
Omar accused Miller of being a white nationalist in a tweet on Monday where she lamented “the fact that he still has influence on policy and political appointments is an outrage.
The comments come one day after a shakeup in the Department of Homeland Security, when DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen resigned her position.
This was on the same day that President Trump decided to withdraw his nomination of Ronald Vitiello to head the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency and take ICE in a “tougher direction.” Omar speculated that Miller was behind these decisions.
President Trump’s son called her out on social media in a brutal tweet.
“I see that the head of the Farrakhan Fan Club, @IlhanMN, took a short break from spewing her usual anti-semitic bigotry today accuse a Jewish man of being a ‘white nationalist’ because she apparently has no shame.
Donald Trump Jr was not the only one to call out Omar. Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y. also criticized her remarks.
“During my time in Congress before @IlhanOmar got here, I didn’t once witness another Member target Jewish people like this with the name calling & other personal attacks. In 2019 though, for @IlhanOmar, this is just called Monday.”
Omar better tone back her rhetoric or else her fellow Democrats may even abandon her causes amid the backlash.
SHARE if she should resign her position!
