Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass) held an outdoor rally on Saturday where she excitedly announced that she intends to run for President against President Trump in the 2020 election.
Warren has been a vocal critic of Trump throughout his presidency despite being involved in several scandals herself, most notably for falsely claiming Native American heritage on her Harvard application, which resulted in her getting preferential treatment by the school.
The Democratic Senator made the announcement in Lawrence, Massachusetts on Saturday morning. The weather was extremely cold and the announcement was supposed to come at 11:00AM to a crowd of hundreds of supporters.
The only problem with it was that Warren didn’t actually show up until almost an hour late and the crowd had already been standing outside in the freezing cold for that entire hour waiting for her.
As soon as she made her announcement and launched into a speech people behind her could be seen leaving, apparently not impressed.
Doesn’t sound like her campaign has gotten off to a good start!
